THE GAME SHELF · party
You draw a picture. Someone guesses what you drew. They draw what they guessed. Someone else guesses that. Repeat until your original masterpiece has become something completely unrecognizable. Telestrations is one of those games where being a terrible artist is actually an advantage.
$8 / night
WHY RENT THIS ONE
“Start with a word. End with absolute nonsense.”
This is what happens when Pictionary and the Telephone game decide to team up and cause problems.
Everyone starts with a word or phrase, draws it, passes it along, and then the next person guesses what they think the drawing represents. Then somebody draws that guess. Then somebody else guesses that drawing. By the end, your original idea may have traveled so far from reality that the final reveal becomes the highlight of the entire game.
Telestrations is one of our favorite types of rental for a big family weekend because nobody needs to be a "board gamer" to have fun with it. Kids, parents, grandparents, friends, and the person who insists they cannot draw can all play together. In fact, terrible drawings are often where the fun begins.
Needs a normal dinner table's worth of room.
Some reading, but not enough to slow the game down.
Nobody gets knocked out. Everyone plays to the last turn.
Easy to pause. If someone has to step out, the table survives.
About 5 minutes of setup before anyone touches a piece.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Yes — Telestrations is part of the Deep Space Family Games game shelf, available to rent by the night around Plattekill and the wider Hudson Valley area. Roughly 30 minutes out from Plattekill in every direction — delivery and local pickup only. Nothing to walk into.
No — every button on this page is a request, not a booking. Deep Space Family Games doesn't run live availability, so we confirm by hand once you tell us you want Telestrations and when.
Telestrations, like every game on the shelf, is counted against a written list before it goes out and again when it comes back, so a missing piece is a conversation with a number behind it, not a guess.

SHELF NOTES
Remember the sticker Blockbuster used to slap on the video case, the one that told you everything before you'd even flipped it over? That's the idea here.
Tell us when you want it, and we'll confirm what it comes to.
