WHY RENT THIS ONE

Why it's worth a spot on your weekend

“Arrr you ready to settle the island?”

Some kids are ready for Catan long before they are ready for all of Catan.

Catan Junior takes the basic ideas of collecting resources, trading, and building and turns them into a pirate adventure that is much easier for younger players to manage. Build pirate lairs, expand across the islands, and keep an eye on what everyone else is doing.

It is a great weekend rental for families with younger kids who want something that feels like a real strategy game without getting overwhelmed by the rules. And because it is still recognizable as Catan, it makes a fun stepping stone toward the bigger game when they are ready.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Renting, answered

Can I rent Catan Junior near Plattekill?

Yes — Catan Junior is part of the Deep Space Family Games game shelf, available to rent by the night around Plattekill and the wider Hudson Valley area. Roughly 30 minutes out from Plattekill in every direction — delivery and local pickup only. Nothing to walk into.

Is requesting Catan Junior a real reservation?

No — every button on this page is a request, not a booking. Deep Space Family Games doesn't run live availability, so we confirm by hand once you tell us you want Catan Junior and when.

What happens if a piece from Catan Junior goes missing?

Catan Junior, like every game on the shelf, is counted against a written list before it goes out and again when it comes back, so a missing piece is a conversation with a number behind it, not a guess.
