WORKPLACES & NONPROFITS

Nobody has to fall backwards into anybody.

You need something for the team day that is not a rope course, is not a quiz, and does not end with anyone being asked what animal they would be. Games work for the same reason they work at a kitchen table: people who never normally talk end up arguing about trains for an hour.

THE DEFAULT

Mostly, you just play.

We bring games chosen for how many of you there are and how long you have got, you play them, and we collect them afterwards. That is the whole arrangement, and for most teams it is enough — the games do the work and nobody has to stand at the front of the room running anything.

If you would rather not be the person explaining rules all afternoon, someone can come and do that instead: teach two or three games, get every table started, keep half an eye on the clock. That is an extra, priced on top, and it is an appointment rather than something we can promise at short notice. It is not what a booking includes by default.

FOUR QUESTIONS

What we’d need to know

  • How many, and how long

Six people for ninety minutes and thirty people for an afternoon are completely different sets of games. The headcount changes the box more than anything else does.

  • What the room is like

A loud open-plan floor rules some games out, and so does one long table nobody can hear across. Tell us which one you have got.

  • Whether anyone would rather not

Somebody on your team almost certainly hates being made to play. There is usually a quiet two-player option we can put in the box for them, which is the sort of thing a neurodivergent household thinks about first.

  • How much notice you can give

This is one person’s Saturday, not a company with a bench of staff. The more warning you can give us, the better the odds we can do it at all.

ABOUT THE MONEY

Quoted for the event, not off the shelf.

Business and event rates are worked out for the event. They are not the nightly rates a family pays to rent a game for an evening, and we are not going to print a number here that turns out to be wrong for your headcount and your hours.

Tell us the size of the group, how long you need and where the room is, and we will write back with what it costs — including what adding someone to run it puts on top, if you want that.

TO BE CLEAR

What this isn’t

  • Not a corporate entertainment company

It is a household that rents out games. You are getting the same shelf a family gets, and people who have actually played everything on it.

  • There’s nowhere to come to

We have no venue and no lounge. We come to your office, your rented room, or wherever you are having it, as long as it is inside the delivery range.

  • No debrief, no flip chart

Nobody is going to ask your team to draw how the afternoon made them feel. You played some games and then it was over.

  • Nonprofits count as teams

Same conversation, same arrangement. Ask and we will quote it the same way.

THE SHORT VERSION

One line, if you’re forwarding this to someone.

We bring good games to your team day, chosen for your group, quoted for the event. Someone to run it is optional and costs extra.

The plain description of this, alongside everything else we do, is on What We Do.

Tell us about the day.

Group size, how long you have got, the room, and the date you’re circling. We’ll write back with what it would look like and what it would cost.
