Board Games in Esopus, NY

Esopus is riverfront living — the Meadows Lighthouse standing out in the water, Port Ewen as the hamlet center, and Holy Cross Monastery drawing its own quieter kind of overnight visitor up the road. Between the retreat guests, the lighthouse sightseers, and the families who actually live here, it’s a town with a steady mix of people looking for something to do once the sun’s down.

If that’s you, an evening with nothing planned beyond watching the barges go by doesn’t have to be it — pick a couple titles off the list and we’ll bring them to where you’re staying. Local families get the same coverage, a bit further out than our closest towns, so a little lead time helps.

Every listing carries the player count, play time, and age straight off the box, and the household plays each title before it goes on the list, so what shows up has actually been tested by real kids, not just described. Two landmarks worth a look: the Esopus Meadows Lighthouse and the Port Ewen waterfront — more on the town of Esopus (opens in new tab) is on Wikipedia.
