Polyhedral Dice Set

The standard matched set of seven dice — D4, D6, D8, two D10s, D12, and D20 — that most RPGs and dice-heavy games are built around.

Detailed definition

A polyhedral dice set is the full lineup — a D4, D6, D8, D10, a second D10 for percentile rolls, D12, and D20 — usually seven dice, often color-matched, that ships together as one unit. It’s the standard toolkit for tabletop RPGs and plenty of other games that call for more than one shape of die.

When a listing on the shelf mentions a polyhedral set is included, it means you won’t need to hunt down odd dice separately before you can actually play — everything the rules ask for is already in the box. It’s also just satisfying to have a full matched set in hand, which is part of why they’re sold as sets in the first place rather than piece by piece.
